Every summer thousands of children and teens venture off for fun and excitement at summer camp. Canoeing, riding, sailing, swimming, sports, games and lots more to choose from and in almost every case, they lose some item of clothing!
According to Lena Grierson, a mother of three and distributor of a new labeling product called Stikins⢠the lost and found bin at camps can be huge. Every year parents are asked to label all their children’s clothing and belongings for camp. Thanks to Stikins⢠the labeling can now be fast and easy. Stikins⢠is a personalized peel-and-stick name label that adheres to the wash care label of the garment. Simply peel off and stick on. No ironing or sewing required. Washer and dryer safe. They can also be used inside shoes and boots and even come in a size tiny enough to stick on toothbrush and pens. Great for labeling all the camp gear. Summer Camps are filling up rapidly with many children returning year after year to the same Camp. Itâs a great adventure for all and a wonderful opportunity to develop new friends and skills. Campers of all ages can gain a greater sense of independence and responsibility when being away from home and knowing that their clothing will always be identified with a label that wonât come off. Knowing all the clothing is permanently labeled gives parents and kids a sense of relief. The lost can be found!

Bamboo is known as one of the strongest materials on the face of the planet. Bamboo is used to build many small structures and it is used often as a reinforcement tool for larger ones. In recent years many builders have begun to realize the true benefits of using bamboo as a useful material when building a gazebo. In fact, bamboo gazebos kits have become very popular among do it yourself gazebo builders. It offers both a chance to build with a rare material and it is a great conversation starter when you have people over. Bamboo gazebo kits offer the chance to build either the entire structure, or just part of it, out of 100% bamboo.
The first thing we are going to want to cover is the cautions of building a bamboo gazebo. Because bamboo is such a light wood it is easily susceptible to wind and if you live in an area that often experiences high winds you may want to think twice before building a bamboo gazebo. If you build a bamboo gazebo in a windy area, such as the top of a mountain, you may find yourself chasing it down after the entire structure has become uprooted. The second caution is against having a bamboo gazebo in an area of high snowfall. If you live in the Northeast or among mountainous regions you may want to stay away from bamboo gazebos. Once again, these structures are not sound enough to deal with this type of treacherous weather. Because of these two cautions you will notice that bamboo structures are not built in to many parts of the country. You will mostly find them in regions where the weather is at least fairly steady year round, such as Virginia. You can find bamboo gazebo kits on the internet in generic form but it is a pretty good idea to first get a contractor to look over your land. While it is usually a good idea to do this no matter what type of gazebo you are building it is extremely necessary if you are planning with a bamboo gazebo kit. A contractor will be able to access your land and determine whether the kit that you have purchased (or gotten for free on the internet) is proper for your land situation. Roots, soil and footing have a lot to do with which gazebos can be built where. If you want your gazebo to last a long time you will take this necessary precaution. Bamboo gazebo kits are few and far between but if you live in an area where the weather is a constant then you may become the first one on your block with a bamboo gazebo! They offer all the benefits that traditional gazebos offer but they come with the added benefit of a rare material. Stand out with a bamboo gazebo! Have a look at top 10 gazebo reviews
If you have a company or organization, you want to get your group out in the public spotlight whenever you can. One excellent way to take advantage of large crowds is to participate as a vendor at an outdoor event. It could be a county fair, farmers’ market or a sporting event. It could be a triathlon or marathon. It might be a city’s celebratory days. No matter what the event, outdoor canopies, including the easy to use pop up canopy, makes for an eye-catching display that is easy to set up and take down.
A pop up canopy, also known as an instant canopy, is very simple to use. It is a device that, as you unfold it, sets itself up. The ease of setting up your outdoor canopies should not be ignored, because if you plan to attend several outdoor events in a marketing season, you will be doing a lot of setting up and tearing down of the canopies, and the easier and less time consuming the process is, the better for all concerned. A pop up canopy can be small or large, depending on your specific needs. Many companies invest in several different sizes of pop up canopy, so that they always have what they need regardless of venue size restrictions. Outdoor canopies typically consist of a roof with legs. You can, however, add one to four walls to your canopy, converting it into a canopy tent. You will need to consider how you will conduct business under the canopy to determine the best sizes. You might need a larger tent if you need to bring product with you that you will have to store on-site, for example. Walls can be a beneficial addition to outdoor canopies for several reasons. Having a well-placed wall can help to direct traffic. If you are preparing food inside the canopy tent, for example, you may not want the public walking inside. A wall will keep them out of areas you prefer to restrict. Walls also provide surfaces upon which your custom logo and graphics can be printed, giving you another means for improving visibility of your company. Walls can be full sized or half sized in a canopy tent. A full wall gives you more room for logos and pictures, and it provides more protection from the elements at an outdoor venue. Half walls are more open and friendly. They keep people out, but they allow business to be conducted over the wall, such as might happen with a food vendor’s canopy tent. Outdoor canopies are lightweight to move from event to event, but they offer effective advertising for your group, as well as a striking place to conduct business. But for big purchases, like a gazebo, customers want to make sure the money they invest in gives them a huge return. That is, customers that spend anywhere from 0 to 2,000 for a gazebo, want to make sure that it is a quality product that will last them years of outdoor enjoyment. The metal frames should be strong and sturdy, heavy and will not rust. The canopy that comes with the gazebo should also be made of a fabric that protects from the sun, is heavy and durable, and will withstand a rainstorm or a windy day. That is not always the case when a top rated gazebo is purchased from a big box store. These stores need to meet a low retail price point, usually 9 to 9 and therefore cannot skimp on the construction of the frame for the gazebo. This is due to safety issues as well as product liability. If they cannot skimp on the construction frame, where can these box stores go cheap on? The canopy! For starters, the fabric of the canopy is usually a polyester and/or canvas blend, and is prone to fading, tearing, and ripping. The life of the canopy depends on the fabric used to make the canopy. Most fabrics weigh 150 to 200 denier (unit of measurement of linear mass-density of textile fiber calculated as one gram per 9000 meters). Without treatment, the canopy will last about 2 to 3 years. Canopies made with low grade fabrics will last about 6 months to a year. Exposure to UV rays, rain, wind, and snow make the fabric brittle. In addition, the cheap fabric of the canopy makes it unable to withstand a rainstorm or a strong wind, tearing the canopy off of the frame of the gazebo, ending up on the other side of the yard, and ripping in several places. Even if the canopy does not rip, the color can fade, and water and dirt stains will make the gazebo look old, worn down and unattractive. This means that it’s time to buy a new canopy! Because the gazebo was bought at a big box store, the first thing a customer does is return to the store and buys a replacement canopy for the gazebo. But alas! The big box stores do not sell a replacement canopy. It’s either shell out another 0 to 0 for another gazebo with the cheap fabric canopy or enjoy the old gazebo that is in the yard, without a canopy.
